BUSINESS CALENDAR
 
4.
Renew Memorandum of Understanding with required WIOA Partners
 
Recommended Action:
1. Approve the Memorandum of Understanding boilerplate and direct staff to finalize the exhibits with the Santa Ana WORK Center, Santa Ana College, Employment Development Department, Department of Rehabilitation, SER Jobs for Progress, United American Indian Involvement, Inc., Long Beach Job Corps, Community Action Partnership of Orange County, and the Santa Ana Housing Authority, for a one-year term expiring June 30, 2023 and authorize the Board Chair or Vice Chair to sign.

2. Approve the first amendment to Memorandum of Understanding for Santa Ana Workforce Development Board and the County of Orange Social Services Agency for a one-year term expiring June 30, 2023 and authorize the Board Chair or Vice-Chair to sign. 

3. Recommend City Council approve the Memorandum of Understanding for a one year term expiring June 30, 2023 and authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute and any amendments subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney.
 
5.
Renewal of WIOA Agreements with Youth Provider Agencies for PY 2022-2023
 
Recommended Action:
Recommend City Council approve awarding a one-year agreement with the following organizations upon availability of funds for program year 2022-2023: Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center, $175,000 to provide 20 youth occupational skills training in the areas of office administration, mental health paraprofessional, and childcare worker certification, offer job preparation, paid work experience, tutoring, mentoring, counseling, and supportive services; Orange County Conservation Corps, $262,000 to provide 23 youth alternative secondary education that leads to a high school diploma, credential training in forklift operator, safe food handling, customer service, computer software, job preparation, paid work experience, post-secondary education resources, and support services.
 
6.
Appoint two community members to the Workforce Development Board Youth Council
 
Recommended Action:
Appoint Anapatricia Curiel and Lucy Solorzano to the Workforce Development Board Youth Council committee.
 
7.
Election of Officers for the Santa Ana Workforce Development Board for the 2022-2023 Term

Recommended Action: Elect a Chair and a Vice Chairperson for the Santa Ana Workforce Development Board from the private sector membership to serve for the PY 2022-2023 term.
