Project Applicant: City of Santa Ana (Applicant)
Project Description: The City of Santa Ana is requesting a Historic Register Categorization (HRC) No. 2024-07 to re-categorize and re-name a historic property, currently known as The Lavengood House, and previously listed on the local historic register and categorized as “Contributive.” The property will be re-categorized as “Key,” because it is associated with significant people in Santa Ana’s history. To reflect the re-evaluation of the property’s significance, it is also recommended its name be appended as the Levengood-Bist House.
Environmental Impact: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the CEQA Guidelines, the project is exempt from further review under Section 15331, Class 31, as this action is designed to preserve a historic resource.
